This is the moment a new dad bursts into tears at the sight of his baby son being given a jab and appears to sob more than the tot.

The heartwarming incident took place in the city of Yuzhou, which is located in Henan Province in central China, when the dad took his newborn to get an injection.

The footage, which was posted on Chinese social media on Saturday 25th September, shows the visibly emotional dad cradling his newborn baby and bawling his eyes out as a medical professional gives the baby a jab.

The baby seems relatively undisturbed by the whole experience until the father, who has not been named, wails loudly, which causes the baby to start crying too as the loving dad attempts to shield his child by placing his large hand over its tiny face so it cannot see the needle.

But it is all over in just an instant and the dad, visibly relieved, even manages a timid smile.

It is unclear what the injection was for and exactly how old the newborn baby was when the footage was recorded.
