This is the moment a Muslim security guard and father of three children slumps forward on his prayer mat and dies of a sudden heart attack.

Ahmed El-Sayed, 39, died whilst on shift as a security guard at an unspecified shopping centre in the neighbourhood of Smouha in the Egyptian city of Alexandria on 29th September.

In the footage captured by a security camera, Ahmed can be seen praying for around 30 seconds.

Towards the end of the video, he falls forward and is seen lying completely still and flat on the ground.

The news site NewsFounded reports that Ahmed died from a heart attack, which he suffered whilst he was praying.

His family told reporters that he was married and had three children with whom he lived in the neighbourhood of Al Hadrah in central Alexandria.

The ages of his three children were not reported, but one of his daughters is said to be very sick.

NewsFounded reports that friends and family members made several statements in remembrance of Ahmed.

In the statements, they expressed their deep sorrow to have lost a son, a husband and a father. They also said that Ahmed always prayed a lot and, for this, Allah loves him greatly.

It is unclear when Ahmed will be buried or if he suffered from any medical conditions that may have led to the heart attack.
