This is the moment a Russian soldier who was shooting at Ukrainian kamikaze drones with his rifle is hit and taken out.
The video shows a Ukrainian kamikaze drone honing in on its target and successfully hitting it after the soldier is seen lying on his back on the battlefield and firing up at one of the drones.
The images were obtained from the 10th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday, 21st February, along with a statement saying: “This will happen to everyone…”
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 21st February 2024, Russia had lost approximately 406,080 personnel, 6,516 tanks, 12,338 armoured combat vehicles, 9,826 artillery units, 992 multiple launch rocket systems, 678 air defence systems, 338 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,560 drones, 1,903 cruise missiles, 25 warships, 1 submarine, 12,861 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,558 units of special equipment.
The Ukrainian Air Force said it had intercepted and destroyed 13 out of 19 attack drones launched by Russia, along with one missile, overnight between Tuesday 20th February and this morning, Wednesday, 21st February.
Eleven Ukrainian children who had been previously taken by Russia were returned to Ukraine from Belarus on Tuesday. They were reunited with their families at a humanitarian crossing.
