This is the shocking moment a raging bull gores two festival goers in the bullring during a traditional event in Spain.

The incident took place during the ‘Carnaval del Toro’ festival in the town of Ciudad Rodrigo in the north-central Spanish province of Salamanca and three people were reportedly injured in total.

In the footage, a 20-year-old man from Lisbon is seen approaching the bull and slipping over in front of it before being gored.

Reports said the man was taken to the Hospital Virgen de la Vega in Salamanca with gore wounds to his lower abdomen and lumbar area.

In the other video, a 27-year-old man from Laguna de Duero in Spain is seen being tossed in the air by the bull and he reportedly suffered broken ribs and internal bleeding.

Another victim was a 72-year-old woman who fell from the stands and passed out for several minutes.

Local media said that two others were injured during the ‘capea’ event, but were treated by Red Cross members at the scene and were released the same day.

The ‘running of the bull’ event, which took place shortly after the capea, saw around 10 people require treatment at the bullring for minor injuries.

The Carnaval del Toro in Ciudad Rodrigo dates back to 1736 and the running of the bulls event is a major feature of the carnival celebrations.
