Man Travels 200 Miles With Dog Riding Pillion On Back Of Bike

This man has travelled 200 miles to his hometown for the Chinese New Year with his pet golden retriever riding pillion on the back.

Mr Zhang set off on his 300-kilometre (186-mile) journey from the Chinese province of Guangdong to the neighbouring province of Guangxi to celebrate the Chinese New Year with his family on 1st February.

Setting off several days before, Mr Zhang decided to tie the dog to his back and let it ride pillion behind him.

In the footage, the dog appears comfortable as it enjoys the bike ride with its front paws draped over its owner’s shoulders.

In another scene, Mr Zhang is seen holding onto his dog with one arm as he navigates his way along an uneven road with water-filled potholes with the other.

The cute pair is also seen enjoying a break and drinking some water by the roadside before continuing on their way.

Mr Zhang explained that he has been raising the dog for over two years and that it is very affectionate.

He said he originally planned to leave the dog in a kennel, but, knowing the animal’s character, he thought it could be troublesome and it might not eat well in care, so he decided to take the pooch with him on his bike instead.
