Fitter Stefan Trogisch found himself on Stefan R.’s menu after the two of them agreed to meet in the latter’s apartment in Berlin’s second-largest borough Pankow to have sex on 6th September, 2020.

Unaware that Stefan R. had previously looked up online terms associated with cannibalism such as “Longpics” and “Fatten and slaughter people” on the darknet, the 43-year-old man took a cab and headed towards his date’s address.

R. was caught when police found 25 kilos of a cleaning agent called sodium hydroxide, also known as lye and caustic soda, that is also “suitable for dissolving human tissue” in his apartment in November 2020.
