This shocking footage of a pervert that grabbed and molested a schoolgirl in broad daylight has been released in a bid to track him down.

The video footage shows a little girl walking along the pavement in the city of Puebla which is the capital of the state of the same name and the fourth largest city in Mexico.

As the unidentified man carrying a rucksack comes alongside the girl, he suddenly turns and grabs her from behind, and then assaults her for several seconds before turning and running off.

The child then moves a few steps forward and looks back clearly in shock as the man makes up into the distance.

Police acted after locals in the city’s Antonia Abad neighbourhood where the incident occurred accused them of not doing enough to stop the man and tracking him down – saying that they believe the same man was responsible for several similar incidents in the area and that the police had not done enough to capture him.

Police have not commented publicly on the matter but Puebla ranks seventh for the numbers of alleged victims of trafficking from January to April of this year, according to the country’s crime registry. It was also eighth in terms of the number of victims of rape with 288 reported cases.
