This is the moment a man wielding a meat cleaver attacks a passing police van and he is blasted in the head by cop with a tear-gas gun.
Traffic cameras in the city of Guiyang, capital of Guizhou Province in south-western China, captured the incident on 13th January.

The video shows the police van passing by the man, who is standing on the corner of a crossroads, when the suspect suddenly lunges at the cop car.
Holding a paint roller in his right hand, he can allegedly be seen hacking away at the police vehicle with the cleaver in his left.
Officer Zhou Bangxing, with the Nanming District Public Security Bureau, said he urged his colleagues to remain calm and used the loudhailer to ask other citizens to steer clear of the unfolding situation.
After ensuring the surroundings were clear, Zhou opened the door and retaliated.
The footage shows the policeman sliding open the van door and discharging two tear gas rounds from his riot pistol.
One seems to miss the suspect, but the second strikes him square in the head, causing him to fall to the ground before the officers restrain him.
Authorities say he was taken to the provincial psychiatric hospital for evaluation, while his motives apparently remain unclear.
