A new dad tortured mercilessly by Iran’s security police for joining an anti-hijab protest is finally receiving medical treatment so he can look healthy when he is executed, it has emerged.
Accused Hassan Firouzi’s family claim he was tortured and left seriously injured after being admitted to the country’s infamous Evan prison and sentenced to death in a show trial.
After being tortured, new dad Hassan was taken to hospital, but when doctors said he needed surgery, he was forcibly removed and taken back to Evin prison.
One of his kidneys was reportedly damaged after being hit with a chair leg, and his legs and hands have been left badly injured and bruised.
Officials were also warned that if they kept him in solitary confinement without proper treatment, he could die.
An audio tape smuggled out of the jail revealed the gruesome details of his torture.
Now – says his family -prison officials say he is being seen by medics but only so he can look fit when he is executed.
The Iranian Human Rights Centre that reported the story said that the trial in which he was given the death sentence without proper representation occurred after he was accused of being one of the protest’s leaders.
