This is the moment Brazilian-British TV star Jessica Alves – formerly known as Rodrigo ‘The Human Ken Doll’ Alves – shows off her new certificate after officially changing her name.
Alves, 38, who boasts 1.2 million followers on Instagram, travelled to Brazil from her new home in the UK to officially change her name at the same registry office in Santo Amaro in the state of Sao Paulo where she was registered as Rodrigo Alves at birth.
Her name change comes nearly two years after she identified as a woman.
The overjoyed TV star said: “I’m very happy because I got my new birth certificate today, here in Santo Amaro where I was born and registered.
“For me, it’s a very important achievement. Now my name is correct, as it should be. I’m very happy and I need to celebrate. Where is a night club here in Sao Paulo? And thank you all for the loving messages.”
Alves, 37, came out as transgender in January last year and announced that she was changing her name to Jessica in July, even telling the hosts of British TV show ‘This Morning’: “I have been developing as a person and as a human being. I was born a transgender woman.
“Throughout the years you have known me, I was fighting the fact that I have always been a woman inside myself.”
Alves, who has a British father, shot to fame due to her multiple plastic surgeries when she was a man, attracting a huge social media following and global fame.
The socialite has reportedly undergone 75 plastic surgeries during her transition, but is now happy with her appearance.
Some reports said she has spent over GBP half a million on various operations over the years.
During a trip to the resort town of Yalikavak in the Turkish province of Mugla in September 2020, Alves shared a clip of her showing off her new curves while wearing a swimsuit in a bar.
In the clip, the trans woman is seen showing off her new look while wearing a leopard-print swimsuit in a beach bar.
Alves accompanied the video with the simple message: “Feeling good!”
