After British-Brazilian TV personality Rodrigo Alves’ sex change, Brazil now has another ‘Human Ken Doll’ who is set to premiere his first TV show on 15th May.

‘Human Ken Doll’ Mauricio Caio Galdi is set to make his debut as a TV host on Brazilian television network RedeTV! this Saturday (15th May).

The programme, ‘Ken Com Vc’ (‘Ken With You’), will cover issues related to culture, entertainment, beauty and celebrities, and will also be available on the channel’s website.

Mauricio is also known outside of his native Brazil after his appearance on American reality TV series ‘Plastics of Hollywood’, which follows the “most plastic people on the planet”.

His appearance earned him frequent comparisons to Rodrigo Alves, the British-Brazilian TV personality who gained notoriety for undergoing dozens of surgical procedures.

He said of his ‘Plastics of Hollywood’ co-star at the time: “Obviously there’s a natural rivalry, as we all want to be the best Ken. But each person has their own personality and characteristics.”

However, Mauricio does not need to worry about the stiff competition anymore following Rodrigo’s surgical transition to Jessica in February this year.

As some commentators observed at the time, she went from being the ‘Human Ken Doll’ to the ‘Human Barbie’.

Mauricio is an actor by training and also has a degree in marketing. In a 2017 interview, he revealed his favourite part of his body was his stomach.

The surgical procedures he has undergone include a nose job and chest implants. His message for his critics is to “have more love in your heart”.
