GOT ENOUGH FOR TWO-CAN? Hungry Sloth Tries To Pinch Toucan’s Lunch

This is the moment a hungry two-toed sloth realises that – even at a stretch – the lengthy arms nature gave him sometimes just are not long enough.

Sloth Pono was filmed at Neo Park Okinawa, in Nago, Japan, trying to get to grips with his toucan neighbour Sansan’s food.

But even though he tried his best Mission Impossible Tom Cruise techniques, Pono still came up short.

The video shows him hanging from a branch at the very edge of his enclosure as he reaches out to swipe some of the treats.

But the tasty snack is tantalisingly out of reach and the toucan simply carries on munching.

The footage, which has racked up more than 10,000 views, was posted to Twitter by the zoo.

It wrote: “Pono, a two-toed sloth aiming for the rice of a toco toucan. Sansan doesn’t care about such things and eats fast.”

Twitter user ‘n0AQprkijevqZYZ’ commented: “Symbiotic coexistence.”

And ‘michellehurt3’ joked: “Mr Pono, you found the location of the treats! Why don’t you try it with both arms?”
