The German MP who left his partner and three kids for an ex-porn star has announced he will resign from politics after learning of his new flame’s first election victory.

Local media are reporting that Bundestag member Hagen Reinhold – a member of the Free Democratic Party – intends to step down from his role.

Shortly before his announcement, the 45-year-old was spotted celebrating his partner Annina Ucatis-Semmelhaack’s election to the Town Council of Elmshorn.

It is the 47-year-old’s first political mandate as a representative of the FDP. She will now be responsible for decisions affecting around 52,000 people.

Hagen has been serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2017.

He wrote on his website: “In recent months, new entrepreneurial opportunities and challenges have emerged for me that will require my full attention and energy in the future.”

In addition to politics, Hagen also reportedly works as a mason and concrete artisan.

Annina told local media: “It’s purely for business reasons. As a top-level entrepreneur, you have to weigh up your options when you no longer have enough time to fulfil your mandate. Because when you are elected, you have a task to fulfil.”

But Hagen still plans to remain loyal to his party. He stated: “I still stand by my political goals and remain a member of the FDP.”

Hagen’s vacated seat in the Bundestag will reportedly be filled by Christian Bartelt, 47.

Annina joined the FDP in 2021 and is reported to be heavily involved in issues related to affordable housing.

The former Big Brother participant and Hagen began their relationship in 2022.

After it became public, a weeks-long bitter dispute ensued between the MP and his ex, 51-year-old Karoline Preisler, who is also a member of the FDP.
