FEVER CURE: Sick Man Man Uses Snake To Cool Down As COVID Ravages China

This is the moment a man uses a snake to cool himself down while suffering from a fever.

The ill person was identified by the name Mr You from Qingdao, a major city in eastern China’s Shandong Province.

It is unclear what illness he had but China is currently experiencing a wave of COVID-19 infections after the lifting of strict quarantine measures.

He said that he had gone to bed with a fever and could not find a good way to cool down until his pet snake slithered over, looking for somewhere warm and started to crawl over his head.

He added that the cool body of the snake as it absorbed the heat turned out to be the perfect thing, and was also somehow therapeutic as it slithered across his forehead, providing a massage at the same time.

Mr You said that unlike a cold towel or any other way of choosing his temperature, the body of the snake was actually just the right temperature and very comfortable, and not too hot or too cold.

Mr You also quoted experts saying it was probably good for the snake that needs to find a way to keep warm as they are not able to regulate their own body temperature like warm-blooded animals.

Mr You reassured people that the snake was not venomous, and said that he had kept it for three years and it was very docile, and he had even given a name – Nelson.

It was reportedly a milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum) which is nonvenomous to humans.
