This couple have been charged with beating their four-year-old son to death because he would not stop crying.

The incident took place on 17th November when emergency services were called to a house where a boy had reportedly died in the area known as Rehilete in Villagran, in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato.

According to preliminary investigations, the mother, identified in reports as Nidia, and her boyfriend, named Omar, repeatedly beat the unnamed four-year-old as he would not stop crying.

The emergency services report that the child died from skull and thorax trauma.

Police officers who attended the emergency arrested the couple and took some samples and evidence from the house where the incident took place.

The couple were taken in front of a judge and Nidia was charged with homicide while Omar was charged with qualified homicide.

Both suspects will be held in preventative prison during the investigation which is still ongoing.

It is unclear if a trial date has been set.

The case has caused outrage among netizens, such as ‘Arm LC’ who said: “With these idiots, they should suffer, drop by drop of blood! Make them scream and beg for their deaths! To feel in their own skin what they did to the kid, b*stards!”

‘Serbando Rivera’ added: “It is very hard to me to read this story where innocent kids are murdered. I feel like I could be the one to set them on fire, or to murder or to shoot them, but what is more concerning is that there are women with this lack of maternal feelings and who are able to murder or allow others to kill their children in front of them and do nothing to avoid it, this is a bad sign for human beings”.
