Eurovision Winner Coolly Drags Bassist Out Of Road To Prevent Her Being Hit By Motorbike

This is the moment the Italian frontman of Eurovision winners Maneskin coolly drags the bass player out of the road to prevent her being hit by a motorcycle.

Damiano David, 22, who was cleared of drug use at the end of May after he appeared to bend his face towards a table as the band celebrated their Eurovision victory, and he was in the Dutch capital Amsterdam with bandmates when the incident took place.

The Italian rock band, which won the Sanremo Music Festival 2021 and then the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, was gathered outside the front of their Amsterdam hotel on the morning of 19th June when David apparently saved the bass player from a potentially serious accident.

As the band chatted on the pavement, David saw a motorcycle approaching at speed towards them and, without hesitation, coolly grabbed the group’s bassist, Victoria de Angelis, by the arm to pull her out of the bike lane.

David posted the clip on social media with the message: “That was so close … the wink at the end!”

Twitter user ‘Pandorayelholandeerrante’ joked: “What great reflexes drugs give you!”

Maneskin won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 for Italy on 22nd May with the song ‘Zitti e buoni’, and David was falsely accused of drug use during the ceremony.

Reports said that he has never used drugs and has always been an anti-drug advocate.
