A kindhearted Malaysian man has been caring for his neighbour’s blind dog after they failed to return to the rented property during the COVID-10 lockdown.

Images of the warn gesture have been widely shared on social media by netizen ‘Syahmibaek’ in the north-western Malaysian state of Perak.

According to Syahmibaek, his younger brother has been caring for the neighbour’s blind dog ever since they failed to return to the rented property and effectively abandoned it there.

When lockdown measures were introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the dog’s owners did not return and Syahmibaek meaning the poor dog was abandoned.

However, the netizen said that his younger brother went to the property every day to bring the blind dog food and water as well as to give it some much needed TLC.

He said that his brother struck up a friendship with the pooch, adding: “It is a shame that we cannot keep the dog as our pet, but we hope someone is willing to.”

It is unclear why the siblings are unable to adopt the dog and whether they are proactively looking for another owner to look after it.
