Germany’s EUR 10 million lotto winner Kursat Yildirim has mocked online haters by sharing a video of his cop girlfriend blowing her nose with a banknote.
The funny video shows Chico’s 36-year-old police inspector girlfriend, named only as Candice N., crying in an outdoor cafe as the 42-year-old lottery winner approaches her with an espresso in his hands.
While taking a sip from the cup, Chico says in the recording: “Darling, what’s wrong?”
Candice then answers: “The world is so mean to me. Everyone is annoying me. The internet hates me!”
As the former crane driver tries to comfort her with a hug, she continues: “Do you have a tissue for me?”
Chico then pulls out a EUR 500 (GBP 436) bill from his pocket and hands it over to her, which she then uses to wipe her tears.
The 36-year-old woman says: “Thank you. This is so sad.”
She then puts the banknote in her pocket as Chico affectionately begs her to stop crying, before she continues: “I need another tissue sweetheart. Please, my nose is running, thank you.”
Chico hands her another EUR 500 banknote and continues to comfort her, before saying: “It’s all good, it’s all good.”
Candice adds: “Thank you, thank you, you are the best.”
The female cop wrote in the video description: “Haters, do what you love to do. For everyone else, don’t take this too seriously.”
The recording reportedly intended to ridicule online haters criticising Chico for blowing a huge part of his lottery fortune just 13 months following the win.
Vividly amused by the video, Candice’s 41,000 followers did not restrain from sharing their opinions in the comment section.
Instagram user ‘frau_savas’ said: “I’m laughing my head off! Cool! Best way to deal with stupid, unnecessary comments.”
User ‘lalelu9339’ commented: “I need a package of these tissues.”
And ‘c.eric.prince’ added: “Brilliant troll. Laughter is the best response to hate.”
The fast-living son of hardworking Turkish migrant parents, who boasts more than 877,000 followers on Instagram, spent GBP 392,000 on a V8 Ferrari 448 Pista following the win on 24th September last year.
The ex-junkie then bought a GBP 178,000 on a Porsche Turbo S Cabriolet, in addition to luxury apartments, gifts to friends and family, plus more than GBP 100,000 on designer clothes.
He also splashed out on designer watches from luxury stores like Rolex, Prada, Gucci, and Versace, as well as lavish apartments in Germany and Istanbul.
In a recent interview with German media, Chico revealed he wants to start a new life as an actor, claiming that he knows real-life crime.
He said: “I wish with all my heart that I could one day play in a Dortmund crime scene.
“I grew up in the northern part of the city, was a drug addict, at the very bottom. I often had to act and fool people.”
