Black German Politician Goes Viral With Over 1 Million Views After Racist Hospital Doctor Tells Her In Africa Shed Be Dead

This black German politician has gone viral with over one million views after she posted a video on Instagram in which she tearfully tells how a hospital doctor was racist towards her, would only refer to her as “the African”, and told her that if she were in her birth country, she “would be dead already”.

Mirrianne Mahn, 32, is a German politician for the Green Party who was born in Cameroon.

In an 11-minute clip that has gone viral with over 1.1 million views since being posted on Tuesday that she filmed from her hospital bed and posted on Instagram, Mahn claims that she was treated by a racist doctor in an incident that moved her to tears.

In the clip, Mahn can be seen crying and she says that she is posting the footage immediately and “before I lose my courage”.

She said that the doctor, who has not been named, would only refer to her as “the African” while treating her, and that he said things to her such as: “If you were in Africa, it would be much worse. Be glad that you are here, because in your native country you would be much worse and you would be dead.”

In an update that she posted on her Instagram account on Wednesday, Mahn said that she had complained to the hospital about the doctor, who is now being investigated by the medical facility.

She declined to name the doctor – who reportedly spoke to her in “broken German” – or the hospital and it was also unclear, at the time of writing, why she was in hospital in the first place.

It is currently unclear if the politician has filed a complaint with the police.
