Police in Brazil have seized a glamorous cosmetic clinic owner for drug trafficking after discovering her salon took in a small fortune in cash.
Blonde Laura Cristina Lima was arrested in Cuiaba on 13th January as part of a police operation named Impetus Tijucal.
She is accused of being a local drug trafficking head.
Local media reported that her beauty salon – named Spa Diamond La Evidence Laura Lima Estetica Avancada – was used to launder drug-trafficking money.
During her arrest, police seized BRL 9,000 (GBP 1,400) in cash from the clinic.
Lima describes herself on social media as an “entrepreneur, mother and Christian”.
She also describes herself as an influencer, a physiotherapist, and a beautician.
Local media said she had previously been arrested twice for drink-driving and driving without a licence.
In the incident that led to her second arrest, she had knocked over a motorcyclist and tried to speed away from police.
When she was finally stopped, she got out of her car with a can of beer in hand and pretended to be a police officer in a desperate attempt to avoid detention.
As part of Operation Impetus Tijucal, Civil Police carried out 18 arrests and 36 searches and seizures.
Investigations began in August.
