Pic Shows: Valeria Schapira with her dog Joy; This is the touching moment a woman who recently wrote a book to help bereaved pet owners sings a last goodbye to her own beloved dog. Journalist, writer and comedian Valeria Schapira was singing to her 11-year-old golden retriever Joy at her home in the city of Bueonos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Ironically, she recently published a book, Adios, a guide to help people cope with the death of their pets. Valeria got down on her knees next to her dog to sing him the song, 'Hasta el Final' (Until the End), by the Spanish singer David Bisbal. She later shared a video of her singing to Joy, before he died from a tumour in his intestines, with her followers on Instagram. Valeria said: "Today Joy is gone, and with him, a great portion of my soul. My old crazy friend passed away after an end of a lot of physical pain, with a tumour that took him away in days. "I will write more about him, there will be time, but now it is the time for his trip to a purer land. Thanks to all who accompanied us in those days with their love, prayers, charm and respect. "As we always shared our adventures, I wanted to give you a small video, part of our living in those goodbye days in the fight against the disease." She is also a comedian and has cancelled some performances of her stand-up show while she comes to terms with the loss of Joy. It is only a few days since Valeria told her online followers about Joy's illness and admitted she was struggling to cope. Valeria said: "I cannot answer the messages, so I prefer to do this through this post: we are shocked, and I am destroyed. "Joy has a tumour in the intestine and metastasis. We're having a bad time and trying to make sure he enjoys the time he has left but it is very difficult."

Pic shows: The cyclists rescued the tied dog This is the moment a group of cyclists rescue an emaciated female dog that had been tied to a tree in the middle of the woods before being abandoned. The dog was found in the Sierra de Pias area in the municipality of Valongo, in Porto, northern Portugal by a group of eight cyclists who had decided to train in the area. In the video, the cyclists can be seen feeding the dog, whose ribs are clearly visible through its fur, as one of the group works to cut the rope the pooch has been tied to the tree with. When the rope is cut the dog appears to be shocked, flinching and appearing to be in pain in the area of its neck where it was previously tied up. The cyclists continue feeding the hungry pooch by hand and checking a wound on her neck believed to have been caused by the rope. Nuno Rocha, one of the cyclists, told reporters: "When we got next to her we were shocked. That shouldn’t be done to anyone. We started giving her energy bars and petting her to gain her trust and then my friend cut the rope and released her." The dog reportedly ran away from the cyclists after the video was taken but they returned the next day and found it again in the same area. Then they called the local fire department who took the dog to a veterinarian to be attended to. Local media report the dog was treated and has now been adopted, although its new owner has not been named. Local authorities are reportedly searching for the person who tied the dog to the tree but no suspects have been identified. ‘Rosa Roque’ said: "Good she is starting a new life but do not forget that justice needs to be done to punish the beast who did this horrible thing." And ‘Judite martins’ commented: "I got shocked seeing the animal in that bad state, I hope the coward is discovered, thank you firefighters and good that she has already been adopted."

Pic Shows: Albino male deer was seeking for human help; A hungry albino deer that was abandoned by its mother because of its appearance has reportedly approached humans for food and shelter. Residents in a village outside the city of Przemysl in the south-eastern Polish province of Subcarpathian Voivodeship claim the starving male deer had turned to them for help. Radoslaw Fedaczynski from the Centre for Rehabilitation of Protected Animals based in Przemysl said: "The albino deer was probably abandoned by his mother due to its unusual appearance. "Albinism is a congenital disorder characterised by a lack of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes. It is particularly disadvantageous to animals because it deprives them of their natural camouflage." Fedaczynski added: "Such animals are more often than not targeted by predators." According to reports, the deer was taken to a veterinary clinic where the pale animal was checked over before being sent to the village of Zawoja where he was settled in an animal centre. Netizens had a lot to say about the albino deer’s plight. Social media user ‘Agnieszka Kla’ wrote: "It is very sad that albino animals are often rejected by the herd and become lonely. However, it is reassuring to know that people are there to help them."
