This male model and reality TV star has died in a motorbike accident aged 23 just hours after making up with his ex-girlfriend on national TV.

Juan David Aldana, 23, who was a contestant on the reality show ‘Guerreros’ (‘Warriors’), died in a motorbike accident in the Colombian capital Bogota.

Police spokesperson Albeiro Ceniza said he was riding at high speeds when he hit a concrete bollard and died on the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the road was also badly damaged and could have caused the accident.

Hours before the motorbike crash, the male model was involved in a live TV bust up with his beauty queen ex-girlfriend, former Miss Bogota Melany Florez.

After the row, Aldana kissed her and said: “No one has to apologise. I appreciate you a lot and you are still in my heart. That is the only thing I have to say.”

Florez responded: “Juan, you know you are a very special person to me. Nothing can take away the happy moments you spend with someone. That is what we need to keep close, the nice parts, the good aspects of each person.”

Local media said the former couple then agreed to meet up for dinner one day in the near future.

Following her ex-boyfriend’s death, Florez said that he was very important to her and that she was finding it hard to publicly react to his passing.

She also sent messages of condolence to his family members, adding: “I will remember him as the great warrior he always was.”
