This young woman is being hunted by cops after she escaped from quarantine at a hospital in Crimea where she was being kept in suspicion of being infected with the coronavirus.

The bizarre case occurred when Ekaterina Repyakh, who is originally from Ukraine, discharged herself from a hospital in Sevastopol – the capital city of the disputed Crimean peninsula.

Repyakh was reportedly hospitalised in early February when returned from China with a fever.

She underwent two tests for coronavirus, officially named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization, which came back negative but was told she had to remain in hospital to await the results of a third test.

However, the woman discharged herself and left the hospital before the results were received, with reports stating she had said she wanted to travel to Russia’ Rostov Oblast for reasons not specified.

According to Natalya Penkovskaya, the head of the Interregional Department of Rospotrebnadzor in Sevastopol city: “The city court decided to put the woman on a wanted list after she abandoned the hospital on her own without waiting for the official release.”

The official said that despite the fact that the previous tests had come back negative, the patient had to stay in the hospital according to protocol and wait for the results of the third analysis.

The woman’s location and condition remain unknown.

According to reports, after raids were held in Moscow hotels on 28th February 88 people were found who had allegedly violated the isolation regime after returning from China. All 88 are subject to deportation from the country.
