This is the moment two Vietnamese trainees beat up their Japanese boss for telling them off during a meeting.

According to reports, the Vietnamese trainees were taking part in the Japanese government’s Technical Intern Training Programme which provides training and skills for workers from developing economies.

Local media said that one boss was scolding a group of trainees for making a mistake and then lying to cover it up.

The incident quickly escalated into a fist fight with two interns filmed hitting the man during the disciplinary meeting.

The footage was widely circulated on social media and according to a reply that has since been deleted, the incident took place in the city of Ichinomiya in the southern Japanese prefecture of Aichi.

In the video, the boss is seen speaking with several young men around a table before a trainee on the right-hand side of the screen suddenly starts pummelling the man.

Meanwhile, a fellow trainee wearing a black puffer jacket is seen getting involved and elbowing the boss on the top of his head.

It is currently unclear how the scuffle finished and whether the local authorities are looking into the matter.
