Huang fails to notice the platform edge and falls 7 feet onto the tracks below, with his panicking relative running over to pull him back up.

The Taiwan Railways Administration said five or six staff members at Fengshan Station attended the scene to help the man to safety.

The accident happened at Fengshan Station in Taiwan’s south-western port city of Kaohsiung at roughly 10am local time on 4th April.

Huang was taken to hospital with a 4-inch cut on his face from the fall.

However, the pensioner is fortunately not in any life-threatening condition as he continues his recovery in hospital.

Fengshan Station said neither Huang nor his nephew asked for special assistance, which is unconditionally offered to passengers in need.
