This is the viral moment an irate wife decides to cook her husband’s pet fish after he broke his promise to clean the aquarium.
The footage, which was shared on the social media platform TikTok, has so far reportedly notched up 6 million views after it was posted on Friday 8th October.
The footage shows TikTok user ‘Mia Kurniawan’ seasoning her husband’s fish before deep frying them.
She reportedly said in the video: “My husband kept promising to clean the aquarium after I told him to. I thought it would be delicious if I fried it.”
Many netizens were stunned by the footage and slammed the woman for her actions.
However, in an update video posted on the social network, the wife said that her husband was looking to buy another fish, reportedly an arowana, saying that he had forgiven her.
Arowana fish, also known as dragon fish, are sought-after in South Asia because they are seen as a symbol of prosperity and wealth.
Asian Arowana (Scleropages formosus) are rumoured to be worth up to USD 300,000, according to local media outlet Asia One, because they are so sought after and are listed as endangered species on the IUCN’s Red List of Endangered Species, although it is unclear if the husband plans to buy an Asian Arowana.
