The OAP had arrived at the centre from a retirement home in the city of Zaragoza two weeks ago.

Following a fortnight of treatment, Anselmo Rodriguez was taken back to the nursing home in Zaragoza by ambulance.

The video shows the moment he is cheered leaving the makeshift clinic in Huesca.

He says: “This [moment] cannot be bought with money.”

Nursing home director Mateo Ferrer told local media: “It was a reward for all the hours of dedication and effort carried out by many people, especially health workers who are doing an incredibly valuable job.”

According to local media, the makeshift centre has 46 occupied beds being cared for by 55 medical professionals, caterers, cleaners and administrators.
