Zulu Prince Found Dead In Flat

Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu’s 50-year-old son has died in mysterious circumstances at his home in a suspected burglary-gone-wrong.

King Goodwill, 72, the reigning King of the Zulu nation under the Traditional Leadership clause of South Africa’s republican constitution, and Queen Sibongile MaDlamini are mourning the loss of their son Prince Lethukuthula Zulu.

The prince died at his apartment in Johannesburg in what is believed to have been a robbery-gone-wrong on 6 November.

Witnesses reported hearing the sounds of screaming and broken glass during the early hours of the morning.

Concerned residents contacted the complex’s security guards the following morning because the victim’s doors remained locked and they could see a smashed window.

Guards broke into the prince’s property and found him dead with a friend crying nearby.

The flatmate told the authorities that intruders stole around ZAR 80,000 (GBP 3,916) as well as their phones and electrical devices.

The police investigation is ongoing.
