This is the moment a woman is brutally pummelled by a man as she lies on the ground in the middle of the street,
The incident was filmed in the central Mexican capital Mexico City and the video was shared on YouTube where it has been seen over 25,000 times.
In the CCTV footage, a man is seen dragging a young woman between two parked cars where he repeatedly hits her while she is on the ground.
After several moments, he returns to his car on the other side of the road and the victim follows him.
Just as she is about to sit in the passenger seat, the man hits her and drags her by her hair to the pavement where he continues to assault the woman.
He returns to his car and the victim appears to try to calm him down, but he lashes out again as a young man walks by and does nothing to help.
According to local media, the woman got in the man’s car after around six minutes of apparent abuse.
The authorities in Mexico City have yet received a formal complaint about the incident and it is unclear whether the police are investigating the matter.
