These snaps show several Russian models taking part in an extreme photoshoot on a Siberian lake in minus-10-degree-Celsius temperatures.

The photoshoot took place on Lake Baikal, considered the world’s deepest lake, in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border.

The young models posed in swimwear despite the bone-chilling temperature of around minus 10 degrees Celsius, according to local media.

The photoshoot was reportedly organised by Anna Teresa for her ‘Body Positive’ project.

Anna told local media: “By sharing these photos, we wanted to show that anyone can have fun regardless of the conditions outside. We chose Lake Baikal in winter to prove that the human body’s capabilities are as broad as the concept ‘normal appearance’.

“Also, we are Siberians so minus 10 degrees Celsius is not that big a deal for taking a dip in the icy water.”

According to local media, the project participants all work at a beauty salon in the city of Irkutsk in the southern Russian region of Irkutsk Oblast.

Netizen ‘Alexey Vlasov’ said: “Why would they do this? One day they will be mothers.”

‘Mikhail Bessonov’ responded: “Maybe they are already mothers, you never know.”

‘Katerina Irkutsk’ commented: “Beautiful and positive young women! I like it.”

The ages of the models were not reported.
