A young man has tragically lost his life by falling into a stone crushing machine in the concrete production factory where he worked.

Tugay Ersoy, 27, was working in the unnamed concrete production factory in the village of Sapaca in the district of Tosya in the Turkish province of Kastamonu.

The young man fell into the factory’s stone crushing machine and was tragically crushed to death, according to local media outlet Takvim in a report published on 8th November.

An emergency medical team was called to the scene by other employees of the factory. The medical team confirmed that he had died at the scene, and his body was taken to the Tosya State Hospital morgue after an initial police investigation.

Some netizens have claimed that it is not easy for a worker to fall into a stone crusher and that the man’s death may not have been an accident.

A netizen named ‘Cinar Sarac’ wrote: “Someone must have thrown this young man into the stone crusher. It’s impossible to just fall in there.”

Another netizen named ‘Nurcan Haydaroglu Tiryaki’ wrote: “Is there no labour safety at that factory at all? How can a worker just fall into a huge machine? Those responsible must be punished immediately.”

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
