Young Girl Narrowly Escapes Being Hit By Falling Flowerpot

This is the shocking moment a massive flowerpot drops from a high-rise tower block and narrowly misses a young girl in a white dress after she stopped on the pavement just below.

The incident happened at the apartment complex in the city of Wuhu which is in China’s Anhui province as the little girl was walking on a path through a grassed pedestrian area.

But footage captured the moment the flowerpot landed right next to her, shattering with explosive force and causing her to run away terrified and disappear off camera.

The CCTV footage shows the flowerpot apparently falling from one of the apartments close to the top of the 34-storey building.

A second flowerpot, that apparently also fell, hit a porch roof, with the second one continuing on to narrowly avoid striking the child who would have almost certainly been killed or critically injured if she had been hit.

Her parents filed a complaint with the police after the incident, which resulted in the CCTV footage being tracked down.

Police said that fingerprints had been obtained from the fragments of pottery and they were in the process of trying to track down who owned them and to find out whether they were accidentally dropped or deliberately thrown.

Another incident of a similar nature took place in China when a cat suddenly fell from the sky and knocked out an elderly man strolling along a path before being chased and cornered by the man’s pet dog.

Pensioner Gao Fenghua, from the city of Harbin in the north-eastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang, was knocked out by the cat while walking his golden retriever, seen wearing footwear in the images, on the morning of 12th July 2020.

Fenghua is seen slowly strolling along the path with his arms behind his back as his dog walks ahead.

A cat then plummets from an apartment above and the unsuspecting OAP crumples to the ground and does not move as the cat quickly stands up and attempts to run off.

But it does not get far as the victim’s chubby dog, seen wearing protective shoes on its front paws, is seen cornering the troublesome feline while its owner lies in a heap on the ground.

The cat reportedly belongs to Fenghua’s neighbour, identified as Mr. Yu, according to the victim’s son Gao Zhengzhong.

Fenghua spent 23 days in hospital before being discharged this week. He still has to undergo physiotherapy treatment.

The victim’s family members and the cat’s owner are reportedly trying to reach an agreement on compensation for the incident.
