The shocking death of up and coming Disney actor Sebastian Athie has been revealed as being caused by a heart attack whilst he was doing a training session outdoors.

The 24-year-old Mexican actor and musician shot to fame for his role in Disney series O11CE, where he played the role of Lorenzo Guevara and has had many hit songs with fellow musician Javi Eloy, reaching millions of views on Youtube.

Athie’s manager, Cristina Chaparro, posted on social media after various days of radio silence, to let the young actors fans know the cause of his death, which up until then had remained a mystery.

According to Chaparro, the actors family had asked her to release the press statement to inform the public about the causes of death as they were unable to use his official social media profile.

Chaparro wrote: “We communicate officially that Sebastian died due to a heart attack that he suffered during one of his training sessions outdoors on the 4th July. He had always enjoyed excellent health and we are devastated about this terrible situation.

“Sebastian loved his work and he was always getting ready and training to do his best. We want to thank deeply the love messages we are receiving in this difficult moment.”

The Latin Disney Channel shared their condolences on social media saying: “Rest in peace, Sebas. Your art and smile will stay forever. We regret the loss of Sebastian Athie and we will remember him always for his talent, his team spirit, professionalism and especially for his big heart. We accompany his family, friends and fans in his goodbye.”

Many social media users also posted kind messages celebrating the popular young artist.

One user wrote: “He was an angel who came to fulfil a mission, which was to make us happy, he came to leave us many teachings, and his mission in this world he already fulfilled, for that reason God called him to be on his side.”

Whilst another netizen commented: “I really don’t understand, but I hope you can be strong, it is difficult for all of us, we love you, I send you all the positivity right now. Great heroes make for great nostalgia.”
