A young father of a 10-month-old baby has been beaten to death while defending his teenage sister in a fight.
The victim has been named as Braian Nahuel Cuitino, 22, who died during the incident which took place in the Pilar district of Buenos Aires last Friday, on 14th January.
Braian and his sister, who has been named as Paula, 19, were reportedly leaving a bar when the fight broke out.
Two women and three men in a grey Ford Focus ambushed Braian and his sister Paula in the incident which ended up with the young man dead.
Witnesses told the police officers that Braian had tried to defend his sister who was fighting with one of the three women. The gang then reportedly rained blows down on him and threw stones at him.
The group of five people involved in the attack then fled the scene.
The injured young man was taken to the Cirilo Sanguinetti de Pilar hospital with multiple head injuries and died this Sunday afternoon due to his injuries.
One of his friends, named only as Gabriel, said: “For those who did not know him or those who knew him a little, Braian was one of those people who, just by exchanging two words, you would say what a good guy he was. He always wished you the best. He was one of those people who when you had a problem, had the right word, and a shoulder to lean on accompanied by a smile for those bad days.”
He added that Braian had begun planning his son’s first birthday and was looking forward to celebrating it.
The police have since arrested three suspects although it is unclear if they have been charged. It is currently unclear if they are looking for the remaining two people from the group.
The investigation is ongoing.
