This is the moment two young boys set fire to two motorbikes and a pedicab in an alleyway after reportedly puncturing fuel tanks and causing petrol to leak onto the ground.

Footage from Henan New Village in the city of Liuzhou, which is in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, shows the two boys who are still being sought by police.

The video dated 2nd December shows them lighting what is believed to be a roll of cardboard on fire before dropping it on the ground.

One of the friends throws the flaming object onto a pool of fuel, which quickly sparks a huge fire as the petrol spreads the flames to the parked vehicles nearby.

The two boys, who are believed to be around 10 years old, flee as the fire grows, the video shows.

Reports said they broke the fuel tanks of the motorcycles, causing the petrol to leak onto the ground.

Local residents and the vehicles’ owners later doused the flames with fire extinguishers, but images show the pedicab badly burned and the bikes having been charred to their metal frames.

Villagers said they did not recognise the boys from the surveillance footage, and it was unclear why they decided to set fire to the vehicles.

The authorities are still searching for the children, whose parents are expected to be fined for their children’s actions.
