The news that he has rented the popular Feyyaz Tokar Mansion follows photographs taken recently of him cruising on the Bosphorus in the past few days.

The property currently costs around TRY 932,000 (GBP 41,000), per month to rent, according to Bosforce managing partner and Istanbul Real Estate Brokers Club (ISTEB) President Ulvi Ozcan.

Feyyaz Tokar Mansion is reportedly still owned by Ahmet Okumus who purchased it in 2012 after making his fortune with investments in the stock market and finance in the USA. He reportedly paid USD 25 million (GBP 20.5 million) for the property.

The confirmation that he is moving the property comes as it was revealed Turkey has also become the bolthole for wealthy Russian superyacht owners.

Until recently there were at least 11 of them there including four belonging to the former Chelsea FC owner. In total his fleet of boats is worth over GBP 1 billion.

The tolerances apparently made possible by the fact that Turkish Pres Recep Erdogan’s government is also close to Russia and the vessels are apparently occasionally used by local partygoers.
