This is the hilarious moment when a tiny mouse shows that size really does not matter when it sees off a terrified pooch.

Footage of the David and Goliath encounter was caught on camera by the dog’s owner, named Mr Zhang in local media, in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province, eastern China.

Mr Zhang told local media that he was walking back home from a clinic where he had taken the Pomeranian for a COVID-19 test when they encountered the mouse.

As they were walking past, the mouse suddenly jumped out right in front of the dog and chased it around, hopping and biting the pup from time to time.

Mr Zhang said that maybe the mouse is more interested in his dog, and the dog became timid and frightened after apparently seeing a mouse for the first time.

He later shared the video on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – which left netizens laughing in tears.

User ‘Xinxin let Yang go’ commented saying: “The mouse is telling the dog not to meddle in its own business.”

Another user, ‘crooked moon’ said: “If I see a mouse running faster than a dog, I will be very afraid of this thing.”

And ‘under the moon’ wrote: “Mouse: You run fast, don’t let me see you next time.”
