A would-be sex attacker was seized by police after a woman he was holding at gunpoint told him she would rather be shot than submit to his demands.

Suspect Donovan Tyler Adkins, 29, had forced his victim and her boyfriend out of their tent and dragged her off to woodlands ordering her partner to stay out on 10th February.

But his plan backfired when he aimed a 9mm handgun at his victim and ordered her to perform oral sex on him.

Local media in Brevard County, Florida State, USA, reported that the suspect panicked when she told him she would prefer to be gunned down and started screaming.

Then her boyfriend arrived and the couple fled after Adkins stole their mobile phones.

In a statement obtained by Newsflash, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Adkins ordered her to “get on her knees and perform oral sex on him with his penis exposed from within his red shorts.”

The Sheriff’s Office added: “Based upon the testimony of the victims, another person in the park who was familiar with the suspect, and subsequent investigation by our Agents, Adkins was later positively identified as the perpetrator and was taken into custody by members of our team.”

Adkins reportedly faces charges of robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, false imprisonment, sexual battery, petit theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting arrest without violence.

He is reportedly being held at the Brevard County Jail.
