This is the moment a boy playing in a factory workshop has his arm pulled into a conveyor belt roller.

Footage from the workshop assembly line in the city of Kunshan, in East China’s Jiangsu Province, shows the boy, whose name and age have not been given, playing in the factory where eight employees are working.

In the video dated 12th December, the boy sticks his left hand underneath the slow-moving conveyor, but moments later there is a look of anguish on his face as his arm is pulled into the mechanism.

The boy is flipped onto his back and his body twisted as the roller continues to move, with the child kicking his legs in desperation as he tries to free himself.

Nearby factory workers, who were reportedly assembling moulds, stop the conveyor and run over to help the boy.

They could not pull him free and required the fire service’s help.

Rescue footage shows firefighters having to dismantle the assembly line conveyor to reveal the boy’s trapped left arm.

His limb is believed to have been pulled into the roller after his clothing snagged on the machine.

Rescuers cut his clothing apart and eventually freed him, but paramedics said his left arm had been broken during the accident.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment and is not believed to be in any life-threatening condition.

The fire service did not say whether the boy’s family members were among those on the factory floor at the time of the incident.
