Workers Use Bare Hands To Save Buried Woman Driver After Lorry Carrying Sand Overturns Crushing Her Car

This is the moment a woman driver in an SUV and a lorry transporting sand collide at an intersection, with the lorry overturning and crushing the woman’s car, and passing workers using their bare hands to dig her out.

The incident took place at a crossroads in the city of Weifang in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong on 26th October.

The female driver of the SUV collided with a lorry that ended up rolling on top of the car and shedding its load of sand into the wrecked vehicle, according to local media outlet Toutiao.

Despite the car being almost entirely crushed, the woman survived but was in serious danger from the sand that almost entirely buried the SUV, prompting three passing men to jump out of their vehicle to dig the woman out.

The news site Weibo said the female driver was completely trapped in the SUV and her life was in serious danger.

Other helpers reportedly brought tools to the accident scene to remove the sand that had partially buried the woman’s vehicle.

In the footage, the SUV and the lorry are seen colliding in the middle of the crossroads before the HGV then rolls on top of the smaller vehicle, crushing it like a tin can.

Meanwhile, the HGV’s load of sand apparently starts to fill the inside of the wrecked SUV.

In the second video, several men use their bare hands and a shovel to remove the sand and rescue the driver, who is not seen in the clip.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
