This is the moment a group of workers standing in between a lorry and a skip were crushed when another HGV slams into the back of the vehicle from behind.

The incident occurred in the Kutuzovsky tunnel in the Moscow area in western Russia and incredibly all three workers survived the crash.

In the video, three workers can be seen standing between a lorry and a skip digging into the tarmac when another lorry suddenly speeds into the shot.

The moving HGV slams into the back of the parked vehicle, sending it crashing into the workers who appear to be crushed between the cabin and the skip.

Local media report three workers were hospitalised as a result of the crash yet despite what seems like being an accident in which they were badly hurt or killed, all three are said to be in a “moderate” condition.

Only one lane of the four in the tunnel is currently being used, according to reports.

The State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate’s spokesperson said: “The accident occurred on 20th November around 3:40 AM local time in the Kutuzovsky tunnel. A lorry drove into another one, belonging to the roadside services, and parked on the right side of the road. As a result three people were injured. They were hospitalised in local clinics. Doctors assess their condition as moderate.”
