Woman Whips Off Dress And Jumps In River to Save Bag Of Kittens After OAP Tossed Them In

This is the moment a cruel woman throws a bag of kittens into a river before a kindhearted young woman strips off on the bank and jumps in to save them.

The rescue was filmed on the bank of the Tuja River in the town of Nowy Dwor Gdanski in the northern Polish region of Zulawy Wislane on the afternoon of 1st August.

According to local media, a group of children heard meows coming from a plastic bag half-submerged in the river and immediately notified the emergency services.

However, by the time the fire brigade arrived on the scene, a kindhearted woman had already sprung into action.

After being made aware of the situation, the woman whipped off her dress and jumped into the water to save the kittens from their watery grave, as seen in the footage.

One kitten had already died by the time the woman retrieved the plastic bag. It is unclear how many survived thanks to her kind actions.

The police identified the culprit by a nearby CCTV camera a short while later.

The woman, a 67-year-old town resident, was arrested for placing the kittens in the plastic bag and throwing them in the river.

If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison for animal abuse.
