This is the moment a woman tries to jump in front of oncoming cars in a tunnel after rowing with her boyfriend who holds her back.

The incident happened inside the Wanshishan Tunnel outside the city of Xiamen in East China’s Fujian Province on 26th June.

Video of the incident shows the dashcam owner and his passenger travelling inside the three-lane motorway tunnel when they come across the couple scuffling on the road ahead.

The driver slows down as the couple come into view, with the woman seen desperately trying to run headlong into the passing cars, and her partner holding her back.

As the dashcam vehicle stops, the driver asks: “Are you arguing?”

The boyfriend replies: “Yes,” just as the woman breaks free and tries to throw herself in front of a taxi.

She is grabbed in the nick of time and pulled back by the boyfriend, who is seen holding her by her hair as she sits on the road.

According to reports, the dashcam owner and his passenger held on to the woman and called the police.

The authorities detained the couple, who had ran into the tunnel on foot, and took them back to the Bishan Police Station.

They were each given a warning and no further punishment.

It is unclear what they were arguing over.
