The footage dated 11th September shows the as yet unnamed female minicar driver running a red light and darting into the busy crossroads filled with vehicles coming from both left and right.

Just before the motorist reaches the other side, she crashes into the female biker, knocking her off her electric bicycle.

The apparently panicking driver continues to push her along the road instead of stopping, eventually running the victim over and and pinning her underneath the minicar’s chassis.

The distressed female driver jumps out and tries to help the victim before a group of a dozen or so witnesses run over to assist.

The group of rescuers can be seen lifting the electric minicar, which was fortunately easy to move due to its small size and its being relatively light.

The victim was freed in a matter of minutes before the police arrived.

She was taken to the Shan County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for treatment of reportedly ‘minor injuries’.

The incident is still under investigation.
