The Las Vegas Police have recently released a new video of a young National Guard soldier being shot dead at a 2021 Halloween party that got out of hand hoping to get new leads.
Newsflash obtained the footage from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), along with a short statement that said: “We need your help to catch a killer. Graciela Gomez served our country and did not deserve to be shot dead in cold blood last Halloween.”
Graciela Gomez was killed at just 22 years old while she was attending a Halloween party in Las Vegas, in the US state of Nevada, on 31st October 2021, which seemingly got out of control in a matter of minutes.
Five men who were refused entry to the party, later drove past the house, firing deadly shots towards the partygoers who were gathered outside on the street, according to the police.
CCTV footage shows the moment the festivities come to a horrifying end as three women get struck by bullets, one of which ended up killing Graciela.
But the low-quality video which was recorded at night has reportedly made it difficult for the police to identify the shooters.
So far, the police have not been successful in finding and arresting the gunmen.
They are hoping the public will able to provide some tips in exchange for a cash reward that they are now offering.
Lt. Jason Johansson with the LVMPD said: “Our hope is that by releasing this information, it will garner somebody’s memory, and someone will provide us a tip that will lead to the investigation of those responsible for the shooting of Graciela Gomez.”
Gomez was a graduate of Las Vegas High School and was a member of the Las Vegas-based 17th Sustainment Brigade.
Her peers remember her as an exceptional person, whose life was tragically cut short way too soon.
