A 36-year-old Russian woman is selling her house to marry her deported Algerian boyfriend and fall pregnant so the Russian authorities will overturn his five-year ban and they can be together.
Lilia Zobkova, 36, from the city of Tatarsk in the west-central Russian region of Novosibirsk Oblast has reportedly decided to sell her house and use the fund to visit her lover in Algeria.
Zobkova, who has several small children, met the 34-year-old on social media and he moved to her home city in Russia to be together, according to reports.
Local media said he worked at a construction site before he was discovered by the immigration authorities during checks.
The Algerian man was detained and then deported from Russia and banned from returning for five years for violating the visa he had.
Desperate to be with him again, Zobkova plans to fly to Algeria and marry him before falling pregnant and returning to Russia, according to local media.
To raise money for her plans, the Russian woman is reportedly willing to sacrifice her home.
She said on social media: “They have banned him from entering Russia for five years, but if I fall pregnant who will pay for the alimony? The officials will have no choice but to let him back in.”
It is unclear whether Zobkova has been successful in selling her home so far.
