A woman has brutally beaten her friend with a saucepan and even torn off half her ear after she caught her husband having an affair with her.

The incident took place in the town of Moncao in the Brazilian state of Maranhao earlier this month.

Photos of the injured woman went viral on social media on Thursday, 23rd September, and local media reported the incident the same day.

According to reports, the unidentified woman was brutally attacked by her lover’s wife, identified as Andressa Santos, when she walked in on the pair and found out about their affair.

Local media report that Santos beat the victim with a saucepan and even tore off a large chunk of her ear, which can be seen in photos after it had received numerous stitches.

Santos and her husband reportedly fled after committing the crime, and the two are currently being sought by the police with Santos wanted for attempted murder.

The victim also suffered other serious injuries to her face, and required several stitches on either side of her forehead.

Photos show her with her face bloodied, a black eye, a swollen lip, and a large bandage wrapped around her forehead.

The police have urged anyone with any information as to the wanted pair’s whereabouts to get in touch.
