This hilarious video seen over 15 million times shows a woman who was caught driving a fake supercar explaining to police how she paid just 1,700 GBP for her “Lamghiborni” – also pictured here.

Ms Wang, who is around 30 years old, first caught the attention of police in the district of Jiangning in Nanjing, capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu Province, when she broke a traffic law and CCTV cameras spotted her behind the wheel of the poorly made imitation Italian sports car.

But Jiangning investigators who ran her number plates discovered that the bright orange car was in fact registered as a Chinese-made white Geely Meiri saloon, which explained why the fake Lambo appeared narrower and shorter than its original counterpart.

Ms Wang was tracked down and stopped by traffic police on suspicion of driving an illegally modified vehicle. However, they were reportedly told the vehicle had all the necessary documents.

When questioned, Ms Wang explained that she bought the car and all its accompanying paperwork online for a bargain price of just 15,000 RMB (1,700 GBP).

She also completely butchered the pronunciation of the famous Italian brand while explaining that an authentic one would have cost her over 15 million RMB (1.7 million GBP).

Video from district police shows Ms Wang telling an officer: “I bought it for 15,000 RMB.

“Lamghiborni.”

The incredulous officer repeats Ms Wang’s words, saying slowly: “Lamghiborni…”

Ms Wang responds: “Yes, a real one costs over 15 million RMB.”

Ms Wang was charged and found guilty of driving an illegally modified car.

She was fined 3,000 RMB (340 GBP) and had her licence revoked.

She was also handed a detention sentence of seven days.

Images appear to show the car charging but it is unclear if the car is an electric vehicle or not.
