Woman Kills In Laws To Stop Them From Telling Her Jailed Drug Dealer Husband She Was Pregnant With Another Mans Baby

A 36-year-old woman accused of murdering her in-laws to stop them from telling her jailbird hubby that she had been made pregnant by somebody else has gone on trial.

Elona Kalesha is accused of killing 54-year-old Shpetim Pasho and his 52-year-old wife, Teuta Pasho, an Albanian couple living in the Italian city of Florence, at the end of 2015.

She allegedly chopped up their dead bodies and dumped them in four suitcases next to the Florence-Pisa-Livorno motorway.

The victims were reported as missing in November 2015, and the four suitcases were only discovered in December last year.

Prosecutors said the motive was to hide her pregnancy from her partner, Taulant Pasho, who was serving time in prison for drug dealing.

Pasho was already behind bars when Kalesha became pregnant, according to reports.

When she learned about the pregnancy, Kalesha feared what her husband would do when he was released from the Sollicciano prison in November 2015.

Kalesha was worried that her in-laws would tell their son about the affair and pregnancy, so she hatched a plan to kill them, according to prosecutors.

She reportedly underwent an abortion on 27th October 2015, five days before the victims went missing.

In court, Pasho admitted that he never knew about his wife’s pregnancy.

However, Kalesha’s defence lawyer said no evidence of the defendant’s DNA was found on the handles of the suitcases, and called for her to be acquitted.

The next court hearing is scheduled for 20th September, and the woman, who had been held in custody since her arrest, was again remanded in prison.
