This viral video with over four million views shows a middle-aged woman plucking a chicken over a bin in a city train station after being told the bird would not be allowed on board.

The unnamed woman was stopped by officers at a security checkpoint inside Chongqing Central Park station in south-western China after she tried to carry the black chicken through in a blue canvas bag on 6th July.

Staff at the station, which is on Line 10 of the Chongqing Rail Transit system, informed the passenger that all pets and live domestic fowls have been banned from trains since 2nd January this year.

The woman then made the next logical decision and decided to slaughter the chicken right there and then.

The viral video now being widely shared online shows her standing over a bin and plucking the dead chicken in front of the uniformed train station employee.

The chicken appears to twitch a number of times in the clip as it is killed and has its feathers removed, with the staff member later walking away seemingly disapprovingly.

She was later allowed onto the platforms, with her chicken now classed as “raw meat”.

Station staff did not say how the woman killed the chicken, but social media users have praised the passenger for not making a mess of the floor.
